Rodney A. Windhorst, O.D.

Detailed, curious and determined, Dr. Windhorst uses all of his energy and clinical expertise to carefully assess the needs of, and determine the treatment plan for all of his patients.

Rodney grew up in southern California, spending much of his post-school time bicycling, camping, and surfing under the warm California sun with his parents, two brothers, and one sister.

Soon after initiating his early college education, Rodney was the kind recipient of a military draft offering, and spent the next two years in the US Army,  serving a one year tour in  Viet Nam as an electronic surveillance specialist.  After returning home, Rodney was back in College spending one year at the University of California at Long Beach before being accepted at the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry.

After graduation from UC Berkeley in 1979, Dr Windhorst started a private optometric practice which was to become Lake Stevens Vision Clinic, Inc. . "I have always been determined to treat all of my patients as if they were family.  The individual patient’s visual well-being and overall general health drive all of my examination and treatment plans".
